Sly Not Shy: The Origin of pinkSQRL

The pinkSQRL brand (pronounced "pink squirrel") is modern, urban, and minimalist with a subtle sense of humor and whimsy. It's a way to stand out without shouting from the rooftops - think "sly not shy."

I got the idea for pinkSQRL from spending time with a particularly close-knit group of my friends. We had started to develop our own internal lingo and started calling each other "squirrel" as a rhyming twist on "girl" (as in, "hey girl!"). Soon the term took on a life of its own, picking up a unique spelling and a little color on the way to becoming pinkSQRL.

I thought it would be great to share the pinkSQRL personality with the rest of the world, and pinkSQRL officially launched in 2010.

How do your shirts fit and what are they made of?

Most shirts are 100% cotton and are a slim fit. Full details for each type of shirt, including size and material specifications, are available on the size chart.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is $3.00 for 1 shirt + $1.50 for each additional shirt, up to 5 shirts. For more than 5 shirts, please contact pinkSQRL directly to place your order. Are there expedited shipping options or shipping outside the US?

No, unfortunately right now only orders from the US are accepted and all orders are sent using USPS first class. This is hopefully only temporary, and soon the shipping options will be expanded. For more shipping information, see our full terms and conditions.

What is your return/exchange policy?

You may return an item received in defective/damaged condition for a replacement, or you may exchange any shirt for a different size. Any exchange or return must be made within 30 days of payment. Any items that are worn, dirty, or otherwise un-sellable will not be accepted for exchange and will not be returned if mailed back. There are no refunds. Is there an official pinkSQRL alcoholic beverage of choice?

So glad you asked! Some of you may have heard of a drink called the "pink squirrel" that involves almond cream and apricot pits, but true connosieurs know that a pinkSQRL is a delicious drink that mixes orange vodka with Fresca and a splash of cranberry juice for that distinctive pink color. (Not a Fresca fan? Sprite Zero or Diet 7-Up will do in a pinch!)
